I started reading Imran Series by Mazhar Kaleem in age of 11 (in 2004) and first novel was Secret Service Mission. I got addicted and read almost all novels by Mazhar Kaleem by 2014. Then I abandoned reading during my graduation but occasionally once a year used to read one or two novels.
By 2022, I started considering Imran as just third rate fictional character, although I respect Mazhar Kaleem.

Then one day, I started Imran Series by Ibne Safi just to kill time. First 2,3 novels seemed so so, as I was used to some supernatural Imran, but after that it was lit. I have read all novels by Ibne Safi (Imran and Fareedi both) twice and still I have thirst to read again.

In my opinion, the initial novels by Ibne Safi are even more suspenseful. His non-science fictions are even better.
In Mazhar Kaleem’s novels, 80% time you see same five characters doing repetitive tasks.
Ibne Safi’s depiction of characters was more alive. His reasoning for Imran’s foolish behavior made sense.

He was no doubt the ultimate spy writer in Pakistan’s history, and no one can replace him regarding Imran Series.
